“Biodiversity is perhaps the earth system that’s most threatened by human activity and photosynthesis is of course at the heart of biodiversity. Photosynthesis essentially drives all forms of life on the planet. So being able to work in photosynthesis and be at the engine room of the planet is a good place to be.”
